Sometimes you get clarity in the weirdest places.
I was recently at a meetup. For intros, we did the usual: going around introducing ourselves, but there was a twist. We also had to give an answer to “what makes you happy?”
People said things like “exercising” “eating” and others said “making money” and “sex.” The last two were very honest I guess.
But it dawned on me that I’ve never seriously sat down and thought about this before. If this topic ever came came up, I probably just pushed it away or got distracted by something else.
But thinking about it, the answer was really obvious for me. I love making things.
Whether I make things with my hands or on my computer, it brings me the greatest joy.
I just want to make things for the rest of my life.
